Swimming Pool Crack Repair
Cracks in the plaster or pool shell can cause significant water loss, and lead to costly damage to property when not addressed.
1) WALL CRACK / FLOOR CRACK
Wall cracks appear either vertically or horizontally on the pool walls and can extend onto the floor. There are several different processes used including epoxies, filling in the cracks, and various injections. However, none of these address the tension that caused the crack in the first place.
Typically we address these cracks by:
2) SEAT CRACKS
A slightly different type of crack is one often found in spa seats, and pool steps. When the plaster or pebble gets old it wears out and allows water to get below to the gunite. Once this happens the water erodes the gunite leaving hollow spots. These hollow spots crack easily and begin to spread.
As with wall cracks, there are a number of ways to repair these using epoxies and injections. However, these topical repairs will stop the leak but do not address the reason they cracked. By breaking out the damaged areas, we can stop the crack from spreading and reappearing.
Typically we repair this by:

What Our Clients Are Saying
"Dan was very honest and explained to me the process of finding the leak and the repair. It's hard to find businesses with ethics, honesty and that stand behind their work. I would use Dan's Poolmax again for any repairs to my pool/spa and any other repairs in the backyard.
Poolmax is the best pool service I've ever used. They are friendly and helpful, and work hard to keep my older pool clean and sparkly. I would definitely recommend them highly.
Poolmax renovated our 28 year old pool. Dan Cortez and Dave Sanchez were extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. Every step was performed professionally with no delays. We are thoroughly pleased with our new pool!
